Own a product end to end: what gets built, how, and whether it works.

8x
8x is the fastest growing company in human orchestration: we put real people in the loop where software alone falls short.
- 8x Social and LinkedIn. Brands pay real creators and account owners to make and post content, and run the whole thing through our platforms: briefs, applicants, approvals and payouts.
- 8xResearch. An AI interviewer runs hundreds of one-on-one user interviews and turns them into ranked themes, quotes and clips.
- 8x Careers. Finds and vets engineers like you, for 8x and for our clients.
- $7M+ Raised

What you will actually do
- At 8x or a partner. You may join 8x, or be placed with one of the companies we hire for. Either way you own a product.
- Own one product. You talk to the people who use it, decide what to build next, build it, ship it, and check whether it worked.
- Build the whole thing. Schema, API, UI, billing, deploy. Depending on the product that also means a mobile app, AI features, or the data work behind them, like scoring submissions or turning interviews into themes.
- Ship it yourself. You open the pull request, CI checks it, and merging ships it.
How we build
- With agents. We build with coding agents like Claude Code and Codex, and commit the session logs next to the code. You direct them, read what they write, and own the result.
- To one standard. Every repo starts from the same template: type checks, lint, tests and a production build gate every pull request.
- Small team. You work directly with the CTO and our founding engineers.
You
- Cracked. You are unusually good, and it shows in what you have built.
- Ship with AI. A lot of it, and none of it slop.
- Product judgement. You can tell what is worth building and what to leave out.
- Own the outcome. When something breaks or a launch is close, you see it through.
Benefits
- Competitive for where you live. Set for your location, not pegged to San Francisco, and agreed before you sign.
How hiring works
- Apply. Answer a few short questions.
- Build. The moment you apply, you get the assignment: rebuild a live product, your way, with any AI tools you like. The window is 24 hours, tracked and never enforced. You hand in a live link, a public repository with your coding-agent session logs committed, a walkthrough of five minutes or less with your camera on, and a one-minute intro video.
- Scored. We score your work.
- A hackathon. The strongest are invited to a one-week build sprint with a cohort of other engineers. You build real product and get feedback on calls with our team. Only say yes if you can start on the date and give it real time.
- Placed. The strongest from the sprint are put forward to 8x or a partner company. After an interview with them, you sign a contract. Others may stay in the pool we place from as new roles open.
