Company:

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.

The Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Regulatory Document Analyst to join our Quality team. You'll help ensure our products meet regulatory and customer compliance requirements by managing supplier documentation, coordinating with external partners, and supporting cross-functional approval processes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives on accuracy, communicates effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, and is eager to grow in the regulatory, quality, and food compliance space. You'll play a key role in maintaining the documentation and compliance systems that keep David's products market-ready and retailer-approved.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with external suppliers and co-manufacturers to collect and maintain required regulatory documentation
  • Review supplier documents including allergen statements, nutritional data, gluten-free certifications, and bioengineered food disclosures, for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate discrepancies and compliance concerns to suppliers, and escalate issues to the Regulatory Manager as appropriate
  • Assess the regulatory and nutritional impact of new suppliers on pre-existing finished goods
  • Support cross-functional workflows and approval processes, often under tight timelines
  • Administer the kosher certification program, including maintaining documentation and coordinating approvals with certifying agencies

Assist with compiling and submitting documentation for retailer compliance portals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or a related field

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Curiosity and eagerness to grow within the regulatory and quality space
  • Prior experience in food, beverage, or CPG quality, regulatory, supplier quality, or food safety functions
  • Working knowledge of food safety and regulatory frameworks, including FDA regulations and Proposition 65

Benefits

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week- when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per year, inclusive of bonus.
  • Company equity options.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
